Scout is the only service to have rated Heder and they have him as a three star recruit, Heder also is rated as they 23rd best MLB in the country, and the best in the state of Utah.  Heder committed 18 months from the 2011 signing day to BYU, and Heder did so because playing at BYU is a dream of his ($).

His high school stats were pedestrian for a linebacker as he averaged only six tackles per game, but the scouts see something in him to be able to play at the next level.  His speed is average at best with a 4.7, and he has decent size all ready but will need another 20 pounds to really be a force when he arrives at BYU.  His best attribute from his past season is that he is consistent in his play.  His best game was 11 total tackles and his least was three in the 2009 opener against Timpview (UT).

He also is a good athlete as he moonlighted at running back this past season with 44 yards on ten carries and a score.  He also is on the high school basketball team as well, but was not a star on the hoops team.  Heder looks to have the athletic ability to do well and the progression players make from junior to senior year is pretty big, so expect him to be one of the better players in the state at his position.
