SDSU and CSU Gear Up for Possible MWC Tournament Matchup

Currently the Colorado State Rams(15-14, 6-7) are 6th in the MWC and San Diego St(20-8, 9-5) sits at 4th.  The 4th seed will play the 5th seed which could turn into Colorado State University depending on the last two games of the season.  In the first meeting between the teams SDSU won 64-52 in a fairly tight game in Fort Collins.  This game could be a different story as the Rams struggle on the road losing their last two games including a 31 point loss to UNLV.

DJ Gay led all scores with 17 in the first meeting, following the trend of quick guards exploiting the Rams defense.  Freshman Kawhi Leonard also scored 14 in an impressive double double performance.  The Aztec defense was great in Fort Collins by forcing 19 turnovers and limiting CSU to just 36% shooting.  They could have a more impressive performance with the home crowd behind them and the Rams in a 4 game slump.

The Rams will look to get back to winning ways on the shoulders of Dorian Green and Andy Ogide who have been the bright spots of late for the Rams.  19 turnovers won't let you beat anyone so the Rams will look to control the ball and tempo of the game against the more athletic Aztecs.

The game will kick off at 8:30 MST as the late game of the double header on the MTN.
