Tim Tebow And The Prayer Request At The Combine

There have been conflicting reports which started from Pro Football Talk about former Florida's Tim Tebow asked the group of 100 players to participate in a prayer prior to taking the Wunderlic test with this alleged response:

"Shut the f--k up."  Others players in the room then laughed.

Everything Saint Tebow does is news even when it is not really news (as is the case here).  The reason this is news here is that Tebow denies that that was the response that came from his request.  Plus, Tebow says that he approached BYU's Max Hall about saying a prayer prior to the test.

MIke Florio from Pro Football Talk said this about the situation after a follow up with Tebow:

"Not one single word of it is true," Tebow told me...

"One of the number one things for me is being someone of character and when I say something people can take it to the bank," Tebow said.  "That story is absolutely not true."

Tebow then named several of the other players who were in the room, and he invited me to check his version with each of them.

Tebow explained that he said nothing to the group of roughly 100 players, and he said that he spoke only to BYU quarterback Max Hall.

So, what really happened here; could this be an elaborate prank by one of PFT's inside source? My money is on that some players overheard Tebow laughed and then one guy threw out the profanity.
