Falcons Soar Over Wyoming in 59-40 Win

The Air Force Falcons used a 9-0 run in the first half to get some breathing room and a 12-0 run at the end of the game to get their second MWC tournament win ever.  This is the second year in a row the Falcons will advance out of the play-in game.  Wyoming will take a flight home earlier then hoped as they shot just 2-16 from three point land and only 50% from the free throw line.  The teams were even in rebounds at 21.

Desmar Jackson had the game high with 18 points and was the bright spot for the Pokes.  Three point shooting was the downfall for the Cowboys as they couldn't close the gap after making it a seven point game with 5:28 remaining.  To top off the Pokes rough season captain JayDee Luster did not play due to a groin injury as Wyoming went with a seven man rotation.

Senior Grant Parker led the Falcons with 15 points on ten shots.  The Falcons played great team ball with 15 assists to just 9 turnovers.  They were clearly the better team tonight.  The Falcons were 6-7 from the charity stripe and hit 7 threes. They will need their rest as they prepare to take on #1 seed New Mexico tomorrow at 1PM MST.
