Fresh faces give TCU basketball reason for optimism

With the TCU football team in the national title hunt and a sordid history filled with disappointments, many TCU fans will be quick to dismiss this TCU basketball team, but as Lee Corso would say, not so fast my friend!  After finishing 13-19 last season and finishing 7th in the MWC TCU pulled in their most impressive recruiting class in years and they look to make on immediate impact on the court.

The headliner of this class is most certainly 6'6'' PG Jarvis Ray of New Orleans, according to Rivals Ray had many impressive offers to chose from including LSU, Memphis, and Oklahoma State.  While Ray is young and raw the Frogs are also bringing in some experience with transfer players like PG Hank Thorns and PF Andre Clark.  PG Hank Thorns is a transfer from Virginia Tech who set the freshman assists record at VT (185) and Andre Clark is a JC transfer who began his career as an Arkansas Razorback.  It is yet to be seen if this new blood will coincide with more victories but either way these new players give Frog fans reason for optimism.
