Thanks to the never sleeping Wiz who put up this video of ESPN's College Football Live's preseason predictions. Of course, Mark May said Boise State would lose to Va. Tech, Andre Ware predicted Wyoming over Texas (whoops!), and the biggest is Notre Dame winning ten games.
Here are some of the bold predictions I made prior to the season, and some did flame out already.
TCU will play Ohio State in the BCS title game. Air Force finishes in the top three in the Mountain West and finishes in the top 25. Wyoming gets back to a bowl game besides having a brutal schedule. New Mexico does not finish last in the Mountain West. BYU starts the season off 0-4.
So far, I might whiff on all of these. I was close to getting BYU's prediction correct, Air Force could still finish in the top three and in the top 25, but that will take a lot of effort. If Wyoming beats BYU they should go back to a bowl game, and I could not have been more wrong with New Mexico. The Lobos are probably the worst team in college football.
Another miss was the freshman of the year award, two predictions were BYU's Jake Heaps and Colorado State's Pete Thomas, both quarterbacks. It looks like San Diego State's running back Ronnie Hillman already has that award locked up.
