Runnin' Utes Crush TCU, 65-45

Utah may have something going right now.  After dropping 3 straight games  --2 of which were at home-- the Utes seem to have figured things out.  Utah defeated TCU today, putting them at (1-0) in conference play, as TCU drops to (1-1.)  The win was Utah's 3rd in a row, giving much needed momentum as they head into a tough stretch in their schedule.

Utah had a balanced effort today with four players scoring in double figures.  Notably, was Luka Drca who had 14 points, all in the second half.  Marshall Henderson led the team in rebounding with 8 rebounds.  This game however, was won with defense.

Utah's defense today was superb.  They held the Horned Frogs to just 30 percent shooting, and forced 13 turnovers.  The Runnin' Utes also held every TCU starter under double figures.  Keion Mitchem led TCU with 14 points off the bench.

It was a 5 point game at halftime, but the second half belonged to the Utes.  Led by Luka Drca, Utah outscored TCU by 15 points in the final half.

It will be interesting to see if the Utes can carry their success on to a much better team when they face New Mexico Wednesday at the pit.  This is a young and talented team that seems to finally be figuring things out.
