The Mountain West had three teams finish in the top 25 polls -- same as last year -- however Air Force was able to snag a few votes to be considered for both polls. There is one oddity I would like to point out is that Villanova an FCS program received two votes! What is going on with that they are not even in the same division. I know App State received some votes when the beat Michigan, but even that was out of line. The voter who did put Villanova at 24th in their polls was Ray Ratto from The San Francisco Chronicle.
TCU only fell a few spots to sixth, then BYU was 12th, and Utah 18th. This was the same for both polls.
