TCU and Air Force Open Up MWC Schedules

The Air Force Falcons (8-5, 0-0) will open their conference season on the road at TCU (7-7, 0-0).  Air Force has managed to only play three away games so far this season and are 0-3 in those games.  TCU is 5-3 at home this year.   Both teams are picked to finish low in the conference so it should be a close game as both teams look for an early important win.

The Horned Frogs are led by Zvoko Buljan and his near double double average of 14.6 points and 9.1 rebounds.  As a team TCU averages 72.9 while giving up 72 a game.  In fact they are almost exactly the same in rebounds, assists, and field goal % with their preseason opponents.  TCU is ranked 19th in the nation in 3 point attempts but 206th in percentage made with 33%.  They will put up points if they get hot though from behind the arc.

The Falcons have relied on Grant Parker and his 17.1 points per game to keep them in games.  The Falcons are scoring 64.8 a game while giving up 61.  They are holding opponents to 40% shooting while putting in 47.3% of their shots.  Air Force was not really tested in the early season and still came out 8-5 so it will be interesting to see how this game plays out.

This is a big game for both teams to get some steam going before they run into a harder team in conference.  TCU should use their home court advantage and get off to a good start in the MWC play.
