Rams Take Care of TCU at Moby Arena

Colorado State(12-8, 3-3) played solid down the stretch to keep TCU (10-11, 2-4) at bay in a 63 - 57 victory at home.  The win gives the Rams 10 home victories on the year as they get back to .500 in conference play.  TCU lead for most of the 1st half but the Rams flipped that story in the 2nd half on the back of Andy Ogide's double double.  In the last 26 seconds Travis Busch was able to hit four free throws to close out the game.  Catch more after the jump...

Ronnie Moss had a game high 21 points and 4 assists while giving the Ram defenders fits all night.  Moss did have seven turnover including a few late ones that helped seal the Horned Frogs fate.  Edvinas Ruzgas was 4-6 from three point land and kept TCU in the game with his shooting.  Other then Ruzgas and Moss no Horned Frog gave the Rams trouble as those two combined for 61% of TCU's points.

The Rams got a career high 15 points from Greg Smith who played 29 minutes off the bench.  Andy Ogide decided to show up big and put in 14 points and 10 rebounds for a double double.  Travis Franklin put in 7 points and 9 rebounds but was noticeably absent once it came time for TCU to start fouling at the end.  Dorian Green had a poor shooting night at 2-10 but the big stat was his 0 turnovers in 37 minutes against the very quick TCU guards.

Tim Miles was at full throttle coaching mode from 6 minutes left in the game knowing the Rams couldn't blow another conference game at home.  The tiniest mistakes were getting harped on even after CSU made baskets or defensive stands that gave TCU nothing.  The players made the plays for CSU but Miles was on top of his game too.

Next up TCU will host New Mexico on Saturday as they hope to end their three game streak.  For CSU they get another chance to break into the top tier of teams as they invite SDSU to Moby Arena.
