New Mexico Nearly Lays an Egg in being Routed in Loss

This is another one of those great non-tv games today.  This game just tells us that new head coach Mike Locksley really is wrong about his team.  All through media days he was pumping his team as one that could really challenge for the MWC title.

The game was a tale of two opposite teams, Texas A&M played a near flawless game with a plus two turnover margin, 349 passing yards, 245 rushing yards, and a receiver over 100 yards.  While New Mexico's only decent player was QB Donovan Porterie who was 20-49 for 210 yards and no turnovers.

The problem was the lack of running game which lead to the Lobos having only 21 total yards which included a few sacks but even with the minus thirty from Porterie the toal would have been 51.

The new spread no-huddle offense failed in head coach Mike Locksley's debut as a head coach.
