San Diego State Extends Road Losing Streak to Nine

This game was to be for a chance for San Diego State to win back to back games for the first time since late in 2007.  This game looked to change both of those fortunes, but QB Ryan Lindley was knocked out for part of the game and was not the same as he managed 200 yards on the game.  WR Vincent Brown was the star for the Aztecs as he hauled in 13 catches for 143 and a score.

San Diego State had two turnovers and were flagged for nine penalties which stalled many drives on the day.  It was the first quarter that hurt SDSU because the Idaho Vandals jumped out to a 14-0 lead, but after that the Aztecs played even through the rest of the game.  The rushing game is what San Diego State must work on to be able to be competitive in the Mountain West.  This game saw Brandon Sullivan rush for only 33 yards with the entire rushing game netting 55 yards.

The Vandal offense was more balanced which allowed for them to have a five minute advantage in time of possession.  Running back DeMaundray Woolridge lead the game in rushing with 93 yards and two scores, and was done on only 11 carries.  Idaho was able to pass for a solid 232 which kept San Diego State honest while on defense.
