The Blogpoll is set up by MGoBlog and is a collection of bloggers who actually watch the games, which is more then what the coaches, AP, or Harris poll voters can say. The poll is so respected that CBS Sports is behind the poll and it is posted along side the polls that actually count. Here is an explanation of the Blog poll from Brian himself.
Yes, I dropped Florida down the reason is that they played nobody so far. By the end of the season or when they play somebody they will move back up. To date USC, Alabama, and BYU have played the toughest opponents and beat a top 10 ranked team. That will change as strength of schedule gets considered more into the season.
Common sense is used this early in the season with Houston making the obvious jump over Oklahoma State, well unless you are in the polls that count that have Houston either not ranked or behind Oklahoma State. Now if this was midseason I can see their point but not for week two.
As I mention every week tell me how great, terrible, or insane I am for voting this way. ENJOY!!
