Making the Rounds: Camp Ends Now It's Game Time

Camp finally ends, but position battles and uncertainty still reigns supreme.  Injuries have hit BYU hard while the main topic around the camps has been the multiple quarterback battles.

Air Force

Kyle Halderman the expected Z receiver is coming off an injury and is being asked to do what he did last year.  Q & A with the running back coach Jemal Singleton.

BYU

RB Harvey Unga only needs 854 yards to become the Cougars' all-time leading rusher and is only a Junior.  The injury bug bites hard.

Colorado State

What no QB news today, it is linebacker chatter.  Who were we kidding of course there is quarterback news.

New Mexico

The Lobo line is beefy and mobile.  The depth chart has not been announced, and opening week Is less thent wo weeks away.

San Diego State

Brady Hoke is keeping a tight lip of what is going on at practice, while QB Ryan Lindley is thriving the new west coast offense. Receivers are making noise in fall camp.

TCU

Andy Dalton Is stepping up as a leader, while defensive end Jerry Hughes has high expecations for 2009.  TCU writer predicts order of finish.

UNLV

The Rebels should have balance on both sides of the ball this year.  Camp finishes with high hopes for the season.

Utah

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham is not a fan of the new stricter calls on flagrant personal fouls.  Chad Mannis is now the emergency quarterback, as plans are to redshirt Griff Robles.   Utes make good use of QB talent even if they never take a snap from center.

 Wyoming

Shamiel Gary may start in the secondary as a true freshman, while the third scrimmage    was not up to par.
