TCU made a move in the AP poll (which does not count in the BCS) up to four from six passing Cincy and Boise State. In the coaches poll TCU stayed at four, but they did get more votes then last week and gained ground on Florida, Texas, and Alabama. TCU is inching towards a potential shot at a BCS title game -- a long shot -- and all they really need is a Texas loss, because Florida and Alabama will lose and that should put TCU in the number two spot. To be safe Cincinnati would need to lose as well
With that long shot talk over, Utah moved up two spots to 14 after waxing New Mexico in their first blowout victory of the year. BYU also had a blowout win and moved up to 22 in the coaches polls.
