Making the Rounds October 7th

Air Force

Defense is leading the way in 2009 for the Falcons.  The Falcons try to bounce back against TCU, and junior LB Ken Lamendola is most likely out for the year with an ACL and MCL injury.

BYU

Some people feel Bronco does not need to apologize for his recent comments.   Shiloah Te'o was arrested at a local 7-Eleven for his DUI, and Bronco said he was lied to about the situation.

Colorado State

Utah game is huge to avoid three game skid. Rams land good RB recruit Marvin Ford from Orlando.  Rams get back LB Alex Williams from injury.

New Mexico

Lobos can not squander any chances for wins.

San Diego State

Running game stepped up last week with freshman Walter Katzee.  The team is trying to find its way five games into the season.

TCU

There will be good defenses for Saturdays game with TCU traveling to Air Force.  WR Jimmy Young not worried about lack of catches. TCU in top 10 for second straight year.  Will altitude be a problem for the Horned Frogs.

UNLV

 

Even though Coach Mike Sanford received a three year contract extension he is on the hot seat; again.  QB Omary Clayton practiced, but unsure if he will play Saturday.

Utah

Backup RB Sausan Shakerin was practicing today no word if he will play Saturday.  With running game strapped with injuries wide receivers will get work running the ball.  QB Jordan Wynn still a candidate for redshirt.  RB Eddie Wide gets the start this week against Colorado State.

Wyoming

Defensive tackle Mike Neuhaus has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Frosh QB Austyn Carta-Samuels wins MWC player of the week award.
