The Blogpoll is set up by MGoBlog and is a collection of bloggers who actually watch the games, which is more then what the coaches, AP, or Harris poll voters can say. The poll is so respected that CBS Sports is behind the poll and it is posted along side the polls that actually count. Here is an explanation of the Blog poll from Brian himself.
Taking into account user comments some adjustments were made. First I moved Miami, FL up a few spots because even though the lost it was in overtime to an unranked and a nine poll drop was more acceptable then the previous 13 spots. I moved Georgia Tech down a few, because while they have been winning they have been close wins each time. Ohio State was still kept in the polls after their dominating win over Minnesota but they have two loses with the one to Purdue two Saturday's ago. Then I removed BYU they have one win over a team with a winning record in Oklahoma, and then Air Force who is 4-4.
