The Mountain West Sports Network is expanding their high-def coverage to nine games on the year. So the network is making moving forward to being a respectable channel. Now they need to work on getting a more national deal with cable partners, and getting into Dish Network to increase the footprint.
HD is expensive but this is an important step to getting more people to watch the Mtn. Football is a sport that is a must in high-def, too bad there are not more of the games being shown in HD.
The total number high-def games for the 2009 season, is 30 which also includes HD games on Versus, CBS College, Big 10 Network, ESPN, and Fox Sports. Thirty is an all time high for the league, and every school is shown at least twice on The Mountain West Sports Network and a few other times on the rest of the leagues television package.
