ESPN.com Graham Watson: Air Force Academy player Asher Clark gets his chance at quarterback during spring ball and finding out now that part of that reason is because Tim Jefferson who started eight games last year is in academic trouble. "Jefferson will miss almost all of the Falcons spring football while he struggles to get his grades up and be eligible for the 2009 season. He'll spend the entire summer on campus, too."

1280 The Zone: MWC Commissioner Craig Thompson joined 1280 The Zone to talk about the recent BCS proposal.

Las Vegas-Sun, Ryan Greene: UNLV had their pro day this past week and the big surprise was former UNLV running back Frank Summers. " Frank Summers ran a 4.55 in the 40-yard dash and put up 30 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press." Summers stands at 5-foot-9 and weighs at 240-pound and is looking to make the NFL as a fullback and not running. A team at the pro day with the most interest was the Pittsburgh Steelers.

NFL.com Bill Grant: TCU linebacker Jason Phillips has a torn meniscus in his left knee, an injury that he believes he suffered at the scouting combine last month.

The Dallas Morning News Rick Gosselin: Aaron Brown sure did impress at the TCU pro day. At 6-0 ½, 200 pounds, Brown ran a 4.48 40. Only seven of the 26 running backs invited to the combine ran faster 40s.
