Being in Texas has its advantages for TCU with the amount of high schools and the talent in the Texas area. TCU which has been great the past decade with 10 win seasons just about every year. TCU typically does not get the top talent out of Texas and even with 'left overs' any school could field a great team, and that is what coach Gary Patterson.
Now, TCU is starting to compete with Big XII schools as Baylor and Texas A&M because of the Horned Frogs success, and their coaching staff to turn lower graded players into All-league and All-Americans.
