Sorry about the delays but here is some audio and news about the University of Utah. First of WR and return man Marquis Wilson is suspended for the second straight year. Last year Wilson was suspended for possession of alcohol by a minor, but was reinstated in August, but this year there is no explanation from coach Whittingham about why Wilson is suspended. Wilson is the second Ute to be suspended for at least spring ball, the other is lineman Zeke Tuinei-Wily. Wilson has shown potential at times to be a speed threat in the deep passing and also the return game, but he has never been too consistent.
In good Ute news current Carolian Panther and stud WR Steve Smith just donated $250,000 toward the scholarship fund. Smith is the leader for the Utes in most return categories and is now the 4th Ute in the past few years to donate a large sum. Smith along with former Ute QB great Alex Smith, basketball legends Andre Miller, and Andrew Bogut who also donated large sums toward the school and athletic department.
