The 2008 MWC conference men's basketball tournament, like all conference tournaments, plays a role in determining NCAA tournament bids and seeds.
Based on our proprietary NCAA basketball power ratings, which are more accurate predictors of performance than NCAA RPI ratings, we calculate the odds of each MWC tournament team making every successive round of the 2008 MWC tournament bracket.
Quantitatively, these odds calculations ignore the conference tournament seeds of the teams and focus instead on key factors such as season performance, strength of schedule, scoring margins, and specific MWC bracket matchups.
