Week 5 Basketball Power rankings

1. #25 (9-2)They go 2-0 by destroying Lamar and Pepperdine at home to increase their home winning streak to 37 games, and are looking like the team to beat in the MWC.

2.(7-2) The Rebels did not play this week and are preparing to play Arizona.

3. (8-2) Same for the Aztecs who did not play last week because of finals, now take on Navy and Arizona this week.

4. (8-2) The team soundly defeated a mid to above level Big XII team in Texas Tech at home, and for the upcoming week they get a rematch with New Mexico State at home.

5. (6-3) The Utes ended up defeating Missouri State at home and played a pretty good game. Coach Boylen is still disappointed in the play of Luke Nevil who he feels he should be going for at least 23 and 12 each night.

6. (7-4) Won their only game of the week over Norfolk State was enough to jump them up here. Also, the Falcons need to get a few road wins to improve their overall record.

8. (6-4) No games this week for TCU, and they have been improved over last year.

8. (4-4) The Cowboys drop after losing to top tier Big Sky team in Montana State on the road this weekend.

9. (5-5) North Dakota State got revenge on their former coach Tim Miles who is currently the new Rams coach. This year has been tough for Rams and first year coach.
