The Utes pulled out another win this time against TCU 27-20, I will have a full review in the next few days. For all of this weeks important games I could have gone with one of those cheesy sayings as "Bowl or No Bowl Weekend" but I am better then that, but two games are huge in deciding who are bowl bound teams and one of those games was last night.

This game will be huge for a couple of reasons, the main one being that the winner still has a shot at the conference title, especially Wyoming who has yet to play undefeated BYU. Another reason is that there are looking to be 6 teams who are looking to be bowl eligible, but the conference only has 4 spots. As of now both of these teams are in good shape, but they should not let up, because just ask Wyoming last year that had a better record then New Mexico but was over looked because the Lobos played in their own back yard for the New Mexico Bowl. Now to the game Air Force is at home and had Chad Hall who has been rushing the ball very well including last weeks break out performance for over 250 yards against Colorado State. This will be a challenge for both sides because Wyoming has not allowed a 100 yard rusher all season, but I look for that to end this weekend because Air Force's running game has been great as of late. The Cowboys are coming off their worst offensive performance of the year only scoring 3 points against New Mexico. This week QB Karsten Sweed and running back Devin Moore must control the clock against this Air Force offense to keep them off the field. For Wyoming to win they need their defense and force Air Force to have 2nd and long and 3rd and long situations for force the Falcons to pass. As for Air Force they are having the momentum and need Chad Hall and the rest of the running crew to keep it going. My prediction for the game will be Air Force wins a close one on the road.

This game does not really need to much breaking down, this will be a good chance for the BYU starters get a good performance and then take some of the 2nd half off. This is why the 12 game schedule is not always the best situation, most teams are having a tough time getting that 4th non conference opponent on the schedule, and that is another good reason to expand to 10 teams so there are only 3 non conference games to schedule. Back to the preview, BYU will throw and run at will winning by at least 21 points.

Will these be the game that the Lobos slip up in? That has been a tradition for them the past few years. This Lobo team is better then years past with RB Rodney Ferguson and QB Donovan Porterie leading the way the Lobos should win this and keep their hopes alive for the conference title. The Aztecs need to show something they have improved to not getting blown out in conference, but they have minimal to no running game and Kevin O'Connell is not that great at QB. The Lobos should be able to have their way with the Aztecs even though this is on the road. The only way for the Aztecs to win is to create turnovers and have good special teams to have a short field to work with

No wonder this game is not on TV CSU is winless and while UNLV is better they are not quite up to the mid pack of the conference as of yet. This could be the chance for the Rams to get their first win of the year. The way CSU has played I have no reason to believe that they could win this game, because UNLV has imprved dramatically this year in being able to put up points and stay close to better teams. For UNLV to win they need Frank Summers to be a force rushing the ball, as well as getting WR standout Ryan Wolfe to stay involved in the offense through running the ball as well as his typical receiving skills. For Colorado State to get their first win it is the same song and dance with cut down on turnovers and get the ball to Kyle Bell. Last week Bell hardly got any touches but instead Gatrell Johsnon III took the rushing load by taking 25 carries for 147 yards while Bell had 8 carries for 30 yards. Someone has to carry the load rushing for the Rams, but Senior QB Caleb Hanie has been turning the ball over at the worst times and for a Senior QB that is unacceptable. Look for the Rebels to win this game, because Frank Summers will run all over the Rams poor defense and just wear them down.
