Lazy Link Day

I was so shocked to find ESPN actually covers the mountain west even though they jump shipped to the AWESOME Mtn and CSTV that 5 people get.

Here some news from the past week.

Apparently Tommy Blake the TCU defensive standout has been away from practice for the past 5 days for personal reasons. As a side note Tommy Blake is too popular for a cell phone, he dumped his because of agents and too many calls from anyone and everyone.

ESPN highlights their top team in the conference which is TCU, but the article is mainly about how their defense is the way at TCU.

Then there is Mark Schlabach with his 5 predictions for the MWC here are his questions and his take is in the link above.

1. TCU will challenge Boise State for a BCS spot

2. Utah will make Karl Dorrell's seat warmer

3. Air Force will throw the ball (and win)

4. BYU won't slip much without John Beck

5. Sonny Lubick will retire -- if Rams don't win

Here is a good article about the so called 'little guys' and the BCS

BYU will be retiring the #14 on opening day against Arizona, the number was worn by Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer and also Gifford Nielson who is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

For the Utes every time they have something good happen for them in a scrimmage another problem occurs. They have had injuries, great offense play, poor offensive production, and the same can be said about defense.

Colorado State has officially sold all of its student tickets for their home opener at Invesco Field against the Colorado Buffalos
