I hate to interrupt all the footballing going on around here, but former SDSU star Stephen Strasburg has created quite the buzz recently. Strasburg has put in a phenomenal 2012 campaign after coming back for his first full season since elbow surgery. However, the Nationals placed an innings limit on him and have shut him down for the rest of the year. This has created quite the debate; how do you shut down arguably your best pitcher in the middle of a pennant race? Personally I'd let him pitch, be that as a starter or a reliever I don't care. Shutting him down completely just seems disingenuous to the game and a stress on him and his teammates. Any around here with any opinions on this?
