Football Power Rankings
College Football Rankings: Boise State Remains No. 5 In Coaches Poll
In the latest USA Today Coaches poll, the Boise St. Broncos stay pat at No. 5 and the TCU Horned Frogs are just on the outside looking in as they are the first team in the other receiving votes category. Also, seeing the Georgia Bulldogs move up to No. 20 is helpful for Boise State to improve their strength of schedule.
Boise State still needs to have teams above them lose and next week one will fall since LSU and Alabama play each other and then Oklahoma State and Oklahoma play as do Oregon and Stanford. There is a chance that Boise could eventually get to the coveted No. 2 spot if the higher ranked teams lose. However, Oregon and Oklahoma are both right behind Boise State and could surpass Boise State if those teams win out. There is a lot of football left.
Coaches poll is after the jump.
Week 3 Mountain West Football Power Rankings
Sorry for the delay in these rankings, stuff happens so here they are.
Boise State is still holding down stop with TCU right behind them after their big win over Air Force this past week, and New Mexico is not last!
Texas A&M to the SEC will Start Another Round of Conference Shakeups
When the break to a new conference comes, that conference will probably be the Southeast Conference. The addition of Texas A&M would give the SEC an uneven 13 teams, with six teams in one division and seven teams in the other. The natural course of events would dicate they add a 14th school to balance out their conference. And speculation is already brewing, with one big name cropping up based on the SEC conference footprint, who has BCS power, and brings the financial addition of television markets: Virginia Tech.
College Football Rankings: Way Too Early 2011 Top 25 Projections
The 2010 season just ended and of course it is time to take a look at who will be next year's players, and this is before everyone jumps to the NFL Draft where after that happens another set op way-too-early projections will pop up again. First up is my top 10 that was posted here earlier and I took a little heat for putting Texas A&M fourth and omitting Ohio State from the top 10, but here is the list again for those who missed it (with commentary here).
1. Oklahoma
2. Oregon
3. LSU
4. Texas A&M
5. Alabama
6. Oklahoma State
7. Boise State
8. Stanford
9. South Carolina
10. Florida State
The site national champs put together a top 50 list and they too are falling in line with the Oklahoma as the number one team in the nation.
The Mountain West is represented in the list with Boise State at six, TCU at 13, Air Force 38th and San Diego State comes in at 43.

Mountain West Football Week Eight Rankings
Very close to a unanimous poll this week. So, something is wrong with the code so no individual votes unitl later, but the switch came from BYU beating Wyoming which dropped the Cowboys to switch spots with BYU. Two people, myself included, have Colorado State above Wyoming.

Mountain West Football Week Seven Rankings
A bit of a shake up in the rankings with San Diego State's win over Air Force.
