Otto Kitsinger III

One week after losing wide receiver recruit Jack Austin to Cal, Boise State secured another top player to replace him.

Tanner Shipley, 6-2 185 lbs, and a wide receiver out of Wilsonville, Oregon, has verbally accepted an offer from Boise State to join their 2013 recruiting class. Shipley had previously commited to BYU after receiving scholarship offers from the Cougars, Colorado, Oregon St, Nevada and Wyoming.

Shipley's high school coach, Adam Guenther, is one of Oregon's top high school football coaches, while Shipley himself is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com.

"Boise State has always been the school I’ve dreamed of playing (for) since I was young, so when I got an offer from them I knew I’d probably end up committing," Shipley explained to the Deseret News in Utah on why he switched to Boise State. "… I wouldn’t chose any school in the country over Boise State and it’s probably the only school I’d chose over BYU."
