The bracket for the Mountain West tournament is set, after a wild weekend of results on the final Saturday.
The bracket for the Mountain West tournament is set, and this tournament should be one of the more exciting league tournaments of them all. There are expected to be five teams heading to the NCAA tournament, and then there is Air Force could throw a wrench into things by pulling off an upset, which they did by defeating New Mexico on Saturday's season finale.
UNLV has an advantage for being at home, and they have lost just one game at home in league play all year. That single blemish surprisingly came against Fresno State, also in the regular season finale. The Rebels are a team to reckon with in the tournament as is San Diego State, New Mexico, Colorado State and Boise State.
While there are a many number teams that could win the tournament, it makes sense to consider New Mexico, Colorado State and UNLV as the favorites. However, Boise State has been playing very well with Derrick Marks playing very well as of late, and San Diego State has a good chance since they beat New Mexico and Colorado State this year.
