In their final exhibition game of the 2012-13 season, New Mexico welcomed back center Alex Kirk and overcame a second half punctuated by rough, disruptive play to defeat Division II New Mexico Highlands at The Pit in Albuquerque Monday night.

New Mexico got 22 points a piece from juniors Cameron Bairstow and Demterius Walker to open the 2012-13 season Wednesday night with a 105-64 win over Victory University of Tennessee Wednesday night at The Pit in Albuquerque. UNM got scoring from 10 of 11 players and had four players -- Bairstow, Walker and juniors Kendall Williams and Tony Snell - finish in double figures.
