The regular season is nearing an end and the week before the season finale could determine which two teams will play in the Mountain West title game. The frontrunners to meet in the title game are Boise State and Fresno State. However, there is still a small chance that both the Broncos and Bulldogs could not make the title game. It will take a complete meltdown by Fresno State, and Boise State would have to lose one of their final two games and have Utah State win out.
Fresno State can win the West with a win over New Mexico or if they somehow lose to the Lobos they can also clinch if San Diego State falls at home to Boise State.
Boise State winning the Mountain Division is a bit more complicated than Fresno State. Boise State can clinch if Colorado State defeats Utah State and also if Boise State also can get past San Diego State. If Utah State and Boise State both win then the division title will come down to the final week.
As for the rest of the league, four teams are still hoping to win enough games to earn a bowl game. Wyoming needs to wins while Colorado State, UNLV and San Jose State need just one more win to earn a postseason bid.
