A quick roundtable over at Pacific Takes seems fairly dismissive of the MWC this season...
"Is it time for the presidents to seek new NCAA leadership or a new organization?" it reads. "The NCAA has evidenced decisions that focus on trivial and penalize our athletes. The salaries for the NCAA leadership are excessive and an embarrassment to the Mountain West schools. Their decision making is cumbersome and oblique."
Interesting article from Patrick Stevens (a sportswriter in the Maryland/DC area) that compares the current Mountain West basketball league with the Missouri Valley Conference from 2006. Stevens is a former writer for the Washington (DC) Times (who never should have been let go).

The San Diego State football team has accepted an invitation to play Brigham Young in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. PT. The game will be played at Qualcomm Stadium and will be televised on ESPN.
