San Diego Creeps Closer in Statement Game
In game one of the big series pitting New Mexico against San Diego State the Aztecs came out the clear winner by shutting out the potent Lobo offense 4-0 behind Brett Seeburger’s stellar pitching. He pitched seven strong innings in keeping the Lobos in the park as well as off second base as the only hits the New Mexico batters could muster were four singles. You’ve heard me before; pitching wins out. Yeah, ya gotta have some bats to win and the Aztecs do. This was the fifth shutout suffered by the Lobos and the first in MWC play.
