The San Diego State Aztecs (18-1) are riding a 17-game winning streak, the fourth-longest active winning streak nationally and are now ranked No. 5 in the AP and Coaches Poll.
With two road wins this past week against San Jose State and Utah State, the Aztecs have kept their perfect road/neutral site record intact. And their only loss is the best win for the number one team in the country, Arizona. San Diego State overcame Utah State's home court advantage in an overtime win on Saturday. The Aggies have won 91% of their home games over the past 10 years. Previously the Aztecs won at Kansas and at Colorado State, which are both incredibly tough places to win as well.
The Aztecs have made a quick ascent from being unranked and not receiving votes to crashing the Top 10 and now Top 5. Michigan made the biggest move of the week, climbing 11 spots to No. 10.
Steve Fisher is going for his 300th win at San Diego State on Saturday, February 1 when the Aztecs host the Colorado State Rams.
