Mountain West has 15 Nominees on the 2013 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List

MW newcomers San Jose State and Utah State each had 4 players selected, followed by Boise State with 3 and Fresno State with 2. Colorado State, Nevada, and San Diego each have 1 candidate.

The 100+ candidates on the Rotary Lombardi Award watch list is out. The Lombardi Award was established in 1970, on behalf of legendary Green Bay Packer coach Vince Lombardi and is awarded annually to the best lineman or linebacker in college football. Last year Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o won the award, after winning a majority votes from approximately 500 head coaches, media personnel, and former Lombardi Award winners and finalists.

The 2013 watch list totals more than 100 offensive lineman, defensive lineman and linebackers in Division I football. Here is an alphabetical list of the Mountain West nominees:
