The 2013 Watch Lists keep rolling out and the latest is the Outland Trophy which is for the nation's best lineman, offensive or defensive. This list does include four Mountain West players:
• Tyler Larsen, Utah State, C
• Charles Leno, Boise State, OT
• Weston Richburg, Colorado State, C
• Austin Wentworth, Fresno State, OT
Out of this group Utah State's Larsen probably has the best option since he has been a first-team All-WAC lineman for the past two seasons. Realistically, none of these Mountain West players will win the award, so it is one of those things where the honor is being nominated.
That is not entirely true as Air Force's Chad Hennings won the award back in 1987, and if we want to include former Mountain West member BYU they had two lineman to win the award in 1986 and 1989.
