Aztecs land top Nevada recruit 6'4" 235 pound defensive end Noble Hall from Valley High School in Las Vegas.

San Diego State landed additional help on the defensive side of the football and new recruits are coming from an unlikely place, Las Vegas

Las Vegas' Valley High School defensive end Noble Hall (previously known as Eric Burrell) received a scholarship offer on Friday, May 31 and committed to play for Aztecs on Saturday June 1, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

"Going there is a good fit for me because it is so close to home," he said. "It's a big relief. Now, I can focus on football and keeping my grades up."

Hall is a 6'4' 235 pound defensive end who also had scholarships extended from Army, Northern Arizona and Idaho, and also from Mountain West rivals Boise State and UNLV showing a lot of interest.

Hall recently changed his name to honor his father who was shot and killed before his birth, so the recruiting world still knows him as Eric Burrell. Noble is the sixth ranked athlete in Nevada and plays both defensive end and tight end. He runs a 4.8-second 40-yard dash and is considered an elite quality FBS prospect.

Hall is the 7th Aztec player commitment for the class of 2014.
