2014 Nevada Football Recruiting: Wolf Pack land three verbal commits

Cliff Porter, RB - Student Sports

Kevin Nutt and Blake Wright, two 1,000 yard rushers from Edison High in Fresno, Calif., have verbally committed to play football for the Pack in 2014.

The Nevada Wolf Pack added three players to their 2014 recruiting class, a pair of running backs and one two-way lineman. The two running backs are Fresno natives Kevin Nutt and Blake Wright. Nutt announced the decision for both via Twitter saying he committed:

According to Rivals, Nutt is a two-star recruit who had offers from both Houston and Boise State, plus is getting interest from Utah. His size could be an issue as he is just 5' 11" and 171 pounds. Wright is a little more stout at 5' 10" and 194 pounds, and his only offer was from Nevada. He decided to follow his high school teammate Nutt.

Here is a video of a long touchdown for Blake Wright:

The third recruit is two-way lineman Cliff Porter out of Hug High School out of Reno. In college, Porter is likely to play on the defensive side of the ball. While his only offer was to Nevada and he intends to stick to it, unless there is another school that can offer similar things as Nevada:

"But it would have to be a situation where I'm comfortable with everything," said Porter, who's also received interest from programs such as Stanford, UCLA, San Diego State, Princeton, Dartmouth and Yale, among others.

Porter looks to be a smart guy with interest from Stanford and a few Ivy League schools.
