2013 NFL Draft: Nevada DB Duke William's selected by Buffalo Bills at No. 105

USA TODAY Sports

Nevada's Duke Williams was selected by the Bills.

Nevada Wolf Pack safety Duke Williams was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 105th pick, the No. 8 pick in the fourth round. At Nevada, Williams saw the field right away by playing in 11 games as a freshman and then quickly excelled to become an all-WAC player in 2011 and an all-Mountain West selection in 2012. Over the past two years Williams had 188 tackles, 10 for loss, two picks and 15 pass breakups.

One of his biggest strengths is that he was a sprinter in high school and still holds exceptional speed, and also being right at 6-foot tall helps him in covering those taller wide outs. Williams is also quite physical, hence him racking up nearly 200 tackles in two years, but he also gets in it with wide receivers as well.

Being an agressive safety is also what can hurt Williams as he can be sucked in on play action and play fakes. Another downside to his physicality is that at the college level there would not be a flag for being as physical, but at the NFL there would be a penalty called. The reason for being physical off the line is when Williams is asked
to cover a slot guy he can be beat on the first move.

Here are highlights of Williams:
