Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

Colorado State will have Dorian Green starting against UNLV.

The Colorado St. Rams are getting a much needed boost to their starting lineup as senior guard Dorian Green is going to be in the starting lineup against the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in Friday night's Mountain West semifinal game.

Green suffered an ankle injury last week and sat out their narrow win over Fresno State on Wednesday, and he was not expected to play on Friday. The Mountain West tournament had an off day on Thursday and that allowed an extra day for Green to rest his ankle, and he even practiced some on the off day.

Late Thursday, and on Friday it was being reported that Green was going to be a game-time decision. Green is not going to be 100 percent in this game, and we will know early how well his ankle is holding up. Look for UNLV to attack him off the dribble to test that that injured right ankle.

Look for Colorado State head coach Larry Eustachy to pull Green early if the game gets out of hand, or if he is just not right. The Rams are in the NCAA tournament so they do not need this win, and they do not need to risk further injury to Green. The NCAA tournament is more important than the conference tournament.
