Chris Petersen to Washington: Boise State coach interviewing with Washington AD

Brian Losness-US PRESSWIRE

Washington AD Scott Woodward is in Boise and interviewing Chris Petersen.

Coaching search nerds take to all measures to find out if a coach is to check out plane tracking software to see what planes are going from Point A to Point B. Well, Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman found out some interesting flight tracking information that likely has something to do with Chris Petersen and Washington.

The plan left Seattle at 9:10 p.m. ET and landed at Boise at 10:02 p.m. ET, and as of 11 p.m. ET the plan is still in Boise. However, the scheduled departure is approximately 12:12 a.m. ET and head back to Seattle, and that is just over two hours. Multiple are flying around that the plane has Washington athletic director Scott Woodward was on the plane and interviewing Petersen at this time.

Two hours is probably not enough time to interview Petersen and get him to Washington, but this could be a situation where Woodward is making a big effort to get Petersen to get back on the plane with him. Who knows if it will work.

Also to consider is that Washington has reportedly been interested in Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, and with this stop in Boise first likely means Petersen is their first choice.

However, things are getting interesting as Boise State athletic director left after the first half of their basketball game.

Safe to say things are heating up in Boise, because why else would Croyle up and leave a basketball game. A reason has to be that he might be needing to make a counter offer to keep Peteresen in town.
