2013 Week 12 Mountain West Football Odds

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

A quick guide to betting Week 12 in the Mountain West.

Last Week: 4-2

Overall: 33-35

With only a few hours until kickoff here's a quick guide on how to bet the Mountain West this week.  We have only four games this week, so let's get started.

All times in Pacific Time Zone

4:00 PM: Colorado State (-6.5) at New Mexico, O/U=64.5- New Mexico pulled out a huge win over Air Force last week and must ride the momentum for them to win this game.  Colorado State must win the next two out of three games to secure a bowl bid.  The Rams defense has to bottle up Kasey Carrier in order to win this game.

My Pick-Colorado State covers- While I do like New Mexico at home, the Rams have built a good team over the course of the season.  Rams win by 14.

7:15 PM: Wyoming at Boise State (-24), O/U=70- With Wyoming's recent collapse after starting strong, it's easy to see why the Broncos are a three score favorite.  However, is the Broncos defense strong enough to stop Brett Smith and Shaun Wick?

My Pick-Wyoming beats the spread- However, they barely do it.  Boise State wins this by 17-21 points, in what will still be a blowout.

7:30 PM: San Jose State (-7) at Nevada, O/U=67- This is easily Nevada's worst season since 2001.  Here's the problem though, Polian has not implemented a new system (kept the Pistol intact).  The personnel is not performing up to standards, Fajardo is not fully healthy and they're going to be left out of a bowl.  The bright side in all of this is that they're 3-1 at home and they're facing a slightly demoralized Spartan squad that snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last week.

My Pick-San Jose State covers- Spartans will rebound from last week and win by 10.  Nevada will continue their losing streak and more questions about the program will arise.

7:30 PM: San Diego State (-4.5) at Hawaii, O/U=59.5- IT'S RETRO NIGHT FOR THE WARRIORS.  Sean Schroeder won EDSBS' Carlos Santana Player of the Week for his efficiency versus Navy last week, and the Rainbow Warriors are donning awesome uniforms.  It's too bad SDSU will win this game and become bowl eligible.

My Pick-San Diego State covers- The awesome uniforms will not make up for being a bad team...Warriors keep it close but Aztecs end up winning by 10.
