Most teams have played just one or maybe two games if they were in a tournament, so it is still hard to judge how good teams are. The latest edition of both the AP and coaches poll had very little movement after just a week. A few teams flipped a few spots but with no upsets on the first weekend the same 25 teams are pretty much the same in each poll.
New Mexico is the only Mountain West team to be ranked as they moved up one spot in the coaches poll to be No. 22. In the coaches poll the Lobos dropped to the 21st spot in the coaches poll. Boise State is in the upper part of the others receiving votes in each poll and could be ranked in a few weeks. UNLV is getting some votes in the AP poll but not the coaches poll.
