While the RPI is not the end all be all for who gets into the NCAA Tournament, but it sure does help.

The Mountain West has slowly proved itself as a league that is right there with the other power leagues, and even possibly better than the Pac-12. With league play beginning this week, we will now start tracking the RPI of the Mountain West teams. As of now there are five teams in the top-30 range, and that does not even include San Diego State.

So, it is safe to say that the Mountain West has the chance to get possibly four or maybe even five teams in the NCAA tournament. This RPI information comes from TealtimeRPI.com. Also, wins are against Division I teams.

No. 11 New Mexico Lobos (13-2)
No. 20 Colorado St. Rams (11-2)
No. 24 UNLV Runnin' Rebels (12-2)
No. 25 Wyoming Cowboys (11-0)
No. 32 Boise St. Broncos (10-2)
No. 42 San Diego St. Aztecs (10-2)
No. 156 Air Force Falcons (6-4)
No. 182 Nevada Wolf Pack (8-5)
No. 215 Fresno St. Bulldogs (4-7)

Next post will contain more information, as this is a quick hit of the latest RPI rankings.
