Cary Edmondson-US PRESSWIRE

The Bulldogs pick up a running back and shore up their offensive line with the latest additions.

Dontel James, a 6-foot-1-inch, 205-pound running back from Summit High School (Fontana, Calif.) and Kolby Drew, a 6-foot-6-inch, 280-pound OT from Palomar College (San Marcos, Calif.) committed to Fresno State over the weekend.

James was rated as a 3-star by Rivals.com and ESPN and reportedly had offers from Arizona, San Jose State, and New Mexico State in addition to the Bulldogs. He committed while on his official visit and will wear #21, the same number Ryan Mathews wore.

Less is known about Drew. He is rated as a 3-star by 247Sports and it is not known if he had any other offers or interest. He is considered Palomar College's top football prospect.

Fresno State now has 23 commitments for the 2013 class, three of whom are already enrolled.
