US PRESSWIRE

San Jose State is back on the recruiting trail, and landed defensive tackle Travis Miller.

Ever since Mike MacIntyre left San Jose State to take the Colorado job, the Spartans recruiting has taken a hit. However on Monday morning, multiple sources are saying that defensive tackle Travis Miller (Simi Valley, Calif./Simi Valley) has verbally committed to San Jose State.

Miller is a 6-foot-2-inch, 270-pound lineman who is not rated by the recruiting services, and he selected San Jose State over an offer he had from Nevada. The visit must have been amazing since Miller decide to make his decision to commit to San Jose State on the spot to new head coach Ron Caragher.

His size is decent for a defensive lineman, but if he can gain another 20 pounds then he could really be a force in the Mountain West, assuming that he does not lose agility with the added weight.

Miller now become the 10th verbal commit for San Jose State in the 2013 recruiting season.
