Some more good news came down on the Mountain West television front as Root Sports has agreed to pick up 10 Mountain West football games. This is a big deal as the majority of the Mountain West games have now been picked up, and the big winner is the New Mexico Lobos who will now actually have games on television with three (their game against New Mexico State is on ESPN3).
Hawaii also came out big as they get four additional games to on television, and the home games will be the late starts even for us in the Western part of the United States.
Two key games that are still missing is the Border War between Wyoming and Colorado State, wich is being shown locally in Denver, as well as the Wyoming at Nevada game. The latter game will have conference championship implications.
One positive note is that Root Sports has a wide availability out West, and if I am correct on my regional sports network knowledge then the areas that do not have Root Sports can still pick up the game on their regional network. This setup actually has a broader reach than the former Mtn. network, so that is a positive.
Here are the 10 games that Root Sports will be broadcasting (all times Mountain)
