There are six Mountain West players on the early Senior Bowl watch list.
The Senior Bowl put out their watch list for their pre-draft, post season bowl game. The list is quite lengthy with 309 players listed -- six of them being from Mountain West schools -- with that amount will be trimmed down to about 100 by the time the Jan. 26 game comes around.
Here is what the Senior Bowl representative said about the watch list:
"We want both college and pro football fans to enjoy tracking the players on our list as they begin their journey towards the Senior Bowl and the 2013 NFL Draft," Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage said in a release. "We have included prospects from almost every level of the college game and look forward to monitoring their progress throughout the upcoming season."
The Mountain West players listed are:
- D.J. Harper, RB, Boise St. Broncos
- Phillip Thomas, FS, Fresno St. Bulldogs
- Robbie Rouse, RB, Fresno St. Bulldogs
- Duke Williams, DB, Nevada Wolf Pack
- Ryan Katz, QB, San Diego St. Aztecs
- Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego St. Aztecs
I assume this list is official in that it has over 300 players, so it looks like the Mountain West will be sparsely represented. If making a prediction today I can see Robbie Rouse, Phillip Thomas and Leon McFadden to take part in the Senior Bowl.
