Warriors will have fall camp on base.

Hawaii will be staying about a week on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for two a day practices starting on Sunday. They will actually settle in on Sunday in the military bunkers and start practice on Monday. This will be the first time in almost a decade that they have moved their two a day camp outside of the Manoa campus. They already had their annual off-island practice on Maui in spring camp. This will be a great bonding experience for the players and the coaches since this is their first year together.

Team officials said Thursday it would run its practices from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam field, with base personnel invited to attend. The Warriors opened camp Aug. 2 and return to the university's campus Aug. 20. Hawaii's first game is Sept. 1.
It's nice that the military allowed UH to use their facilities. It creates a great relationship especially now that we are in the Mountain West with Air Force coming to Honolulu every other year and having Navy on our schedule on a home-and-home basis.
