Boise State's need to find a home in the Big West Conference for its Olympic sports has now become urgent. Boise State has until the end of this month to notify the Mountain West they are leaving and is the only school that has not notified their current conference they are joining the Big East Conference in 2013. Boise State spokesman Max Corbet said in a statement, "We have visited with the Big West about the future of our non-football programs and it is in their hands." Boise State will spend the 2012-13 season in the MWC, but to go through with the move of their football program to the Big East in 2013, the Broncos need a secure home for their other teams. The instability of the Western Athletic Conference has caused Boise State to make a several approaches to the Big West Conference. When pressed about it, Big West commissioner Dennis Farrell won’t comment. "That's our policy right now until the issue gets resolved." Meanwhile, the clock is ticking.
